Kevin M. Anderson is a native of Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Jesuit High School, he sought to escape the Oregon rain by attending Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas; there he met his wife of twenty years. In 2008, Kevin received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he was a member of the Executive Board and Technical Editor of the Transportation Law Journal.
After law school, Kevin joined Anderson and Yamada, P.C. in Portland where he practiced transportation law representing trucking companies and freight brokers for twelve years. As a transportation lawyer he was nationally recognized as a leading cargo claim litigator, prosecuting and defending numerous Carmack Amendment claims.
Kevin joined Cornerstone Law Group in 2022. Having interned with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender for two years during law school, he is excited to return to helping people navigate the criminal justice system. An attentive listener, Kevin works closely with his clients to ensure their cases are resolved in a manner that places them in the best position for success moving forward.
Kevin and his wife homeschool their four children. On Wednesday’s during the school year, Kevin teaches a rowdy Challenge B (8th Grade) Classical Conversations homeschool co-op class. They live on a 75-acre silvopastured pig ranch in the Coast Range outside of Gales Creek. Kevin is also a Colson Fellow.
